Sunday 16 January 2022 – Six Metre Day

Conditions

Cool, cloudy, wind west south-west, becoming westerly force 2 to 4.

Those racing from time to time were: Grant, Leslie, Hugh and Jim.

Wind on the pond was moderate with shift westerly later in racing session. Local shifts on the pond tended to favour which side of the course was getting wind. We sailed six races altogether. Jan joined us at the end of racing, he had been away for previous events, but will come to future races.

Sunday 3 January 2022 – One Metre Day

Conditions

Coldish, cloudy, wind generally southwesterly force 3 increasing to force 5 in gusts with cold showers after dry period at beginning of racing session.

Those racing from time to time were: Leslie, Hugh, Grant and Jim.

Wind on the pond was fresh with some limited changes in direction generally coinciding with the gusts. The water level was ample for one metres with no groundings. 2 races were completed before rain stopped play.

A bystander said he had a free sailing model yacht built by his father, which he had sailed with him as a child. He was referred to the club website. He is welcome to bring his model on a racing day.
