Sailing at Clapham on the 7th February.

Not a very nice day. Dull, cold and little wind apart from the occasional puff. Six of us there but both Jim and John T had radio interferance from somewhere and were unable to sail their 1M,s. Grant pleased with the COMIK he has bought and I must say it is still a good competitive design and keeps up well with later boats. Richard has been given another winch and transmitter to replace missing, or unserviceable bits on Duggies,s boat and so we should soon see another COMIK join the fleet. The pond remains full and sailing will not be a problem if it continues to be so.
No racing took place, but it was nice to see so many turn up on what was a rather unpleasant day. We are all waiting for the better weather to arrive. The Club is showing signs of revival with new members joining. I think we already have more members than we had last year and a greater number seem to turn up on race days. Let us hope it continues.
