3 June 2018 – First Sunday of the Month – One Metre Day

Warm and sunny. Wind generally southerly, no more than force 2.

On the pond the wind was frequently shifting, sometimes from opposite directions along the pond. In light patches it was difficult to tell wind direction at all.

Those racing from time to time included: Grant, Hugh, Ted, Jim and John. A visitor who is interested in joining the club, Florent, borrowed Hugh’s boat. Ted had control problems and also borrowed a boat. Mostly this was match racing using two boats with skippers changing during races. In these light conditions, Hugh’s boat seemed to be faster.
