I have heard from Alan,s wife that he has had another stroke and is in St Georges Hospital in Tooting. It has not been a severe stroke thank goodness and he is able to talk and move most of his limbs. We do not know how long he might be in hospital, but if any member is close enough to get to the hospital I am sure a visit would be appreciated. Hope to see you all on the 3rd April. Derek.

Report by courtesy of Hugh.
Slightly chilly, east north easterly wind, 5-10 mph.
Usual course, running start to first mark, then beat to wing mark, beat to clubhouse buoy, followed by sausage.
Wind shifts, gusts and lulls made for tricky conditions at times.
Mark Dicks joined us, and after demonstrating a couple of Micromagic yachts, shared his latest One Metre design with Ted, who did not sail his usual boat.
Grant launched his newly built Triple Crown, which sailed well. He was initialy held up by a clash of crystals, as he had only brought one set. However, he was helped out by Mark who generously donated an assorted pack of 27mz crystals to the Club to help us out of future frequency clashes.
Results of the racing as follows;
Race 1. Leslie,John T, Alan
Race 2. Leslie, Jim, John T
Race 3. Mark, Leslie, Jim
Race 4. Jim, Ted, Hugh
Race 5. Mark, Hugh, Jim
Race 6. Leslie, John T, Hugh
Race 7. Leslie, John T, Hugh
Race 8. Hugh, John T, Grant
Race 9. Leslie, John T, Grant

Seems like there was some good races and plenty of them. I again was absent. I feel I shall wait for the warmer weather to arrive, poor old lad. Regards, Derek.
