Sunday 20th April at Clapham

A 6 Metre day and the “faithful four” turned up, Jim, Ted, Allan and Derek. The morning was good with races going on one after the other without a break. We all won at least one race each, except Allan, with Jim and Ted winning several each. The wind was good , if a little flukey, and as the morning progressed the weather improved untill by lunchtime the sun was shining through. We broke for lunch at 1pm and Derek took the opportunity to change to his other boat for the afternoon session, with great success, winning nearly every race although racing was close. We sailed till 3pm and then called it a day. I think we all enjoyed the day and there was much laughter. Jim has refurbished some of the bouys and the course is much more clearly marked, thanks JIm. Walking back to the cars at the end, Ted, Allan and Derek looked like three tired, but happy, old men
